Περίληψη

My thesis focuses on the use of natural biological fibers as models for

the design of new materials and their positioning and integration in

devices. The model system used is self-assembling oligopeptides from the

adenovirus fiber shaft. We focus on the following areas: 1) the use of

previously designed cysteine-containing peptides for positioning on 3D

conducting microstructures fabricated by two-photon polymerization (2PP),

and 2) the use of negatively charged self-assembling oligopeptides as

templates for biomineralization.
